Network Consultant

About the Role

We are a consulting firm based in Puerto Rico seeking a Network Consultant with experience in technology infrastructure, networking, and systems administration to support technology, communications, and enterprise infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate is a professional with experience in network administration, server support, and enterprise technology environments, with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues, maintain operational continuity, and contribute to infrastructure and technology modernization initiatives.

This is an on-site position in Puerto Rico, and only candidates currently residing in Puerto Rico will be considered. Availability to work on-site at client locations is required when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

* Administer, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN networks. * Monitor and support technology infrastructure and communications environments. * Install, configure, and support physical and virtual servers. * Diagnose and resolve connectivity, network performance, and system access issues. * Administer firewalls, routers, switches, and access points. * Support technology infrastructure implementation and maintenance initiatives. * Use monitoring and performance analysis tools to help ensure operational continuity. * Support security controls, backup processes, and disaster recovery activities. * Document configurations, technical incidents, and operational procedures. * Provide technical support and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on technology projects. * Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on network equipment and servers. * Support virtualization and enterprise infrastructure environments.

Requirements:

* Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. * Experience administering and supporting enterprise networks and technology infrastructure. * Strong knowledge of networking concepts and technologies, including switching, routing, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs. * Experience working with physical and virtual servers. * Experience administering firewalls, routers, switches, and access points. * Knowledge of network security, access controls, backup processes, and disaster recovery. * Basic knowledge of SQL and database environments. * Experience working with Windows Server, Fortinet, Active Directory, Linux, and network services. * Experience using network monitoring and performance analysis tools. * Knowledge of virtualization technologies and enterprise technology environments. * Ability to document configurations, incidents, and technical procedures. * Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize incidents, and work effectively under pressure. * Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and internal customer service skills. * Bilingual in Spanish and English. * Availability to travel as required. * Professional demeanor and the ability to interact effectively with clients and project teams.

* CCNA * Network+ * MCSA * VMware * Experience with hybrid or cloud environments * Basic cybersecurity knowledge
